Hello, I’m Dr. Karen Gaskell, the Medical Director and Owner of Camas Med Spa. I earned my medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine, specializing in ophthalmology with a focus on eye diseases and surgery. I began my career in California, where I practiced until 1996, refining my skills and earning a reputation for providing exceptional care in ophthalmology. Over the years, I’ve transitioned my expertise into the medical spa industry, offering clients advanced aesthetic treatments with medical precision and a personalized touch. As retirement approaches and with the continued success of the med spa, I’ve focused on building a team of talented individuals to enhance the products and services offered here at Camas Med Spa. I live in Washougal with my family, and when I’m not working, I enjoy growing lavender and dahlias, flying as a private pilot, scuba diving, and supporting a school and orphanage in Africa. I look forward to assisting you on your beauty and wellness journey!

Hello, I'm Shelly Snodgrass, an Advanced Aesthetician with a passion for skincare that has been growing since 2002. My mission is to help clients achieve vibrant, healthy skin by offering personalized skincare regimens and cutting-edge laser treatments. I am committed to addressing a spectrum of skin concerns with precision and expertise.



I specialize in advanced techniques and technologies to deliver outstanding results, focusing on conditions like rosacea, melasma, fine lines, wrinkles, and facial veins around the nose and cheeks. 

Being part of the Camas Med Spa team has been a rewarding experience, allowing me to thrive in an environment that promotes continuous learning. The ever-evolving aesthetic industry encourages me to constantly refine my skills to provide the best possible care for our clients.

My goal is to help you embrace your natural beauty and feel confident in your own skin, reducing reliance on cosmetics. Outside of the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my loved ones outdoors, biking, swimming, and expressing my creativity through art and restoring antique treasures.

The value of continuous education and lifelong learning cannot be overstated. Over the past five years, I’ve found deep fulfillment in the skincare, facial, and body treatments industry—a career I am incredibly passionate about. Collaborating with clients to create personalized treatment plans is both inspiring and rewarding. There’s nothing quite like seeing the joy on a client’s face as they admire their refreshed appearance and the feeling of their skin, or hearing the heartfelt compliments from their loved ones. I take great pride in my work at Camas Med Spa, where we offer a wide range of treatments tailored to the unique needs and goals of each individual. Outside of work, my husband and I enjoy road trips, antique hunting, and simply embracing all that life has to offer.

Hello, I'm Jordyn, a Registered Nurse Injector at Camas Med Spa. My nursing career began in the neonatal ICU, where I developed a strong focus on providing meticulous care and attention to detail. In 2020, I made the transition to becoming a nurse injector, discovering my passion for helping others enhance their natural beauty and boost their confidence. As an injector, my goal is to offer personalized care that ensures optimal results, while prioritizing each client's safety, comfort, and satisfaction. I’m dedicated to empowering individuals to embrace their natural beauty and inner confidence. My favorite services include Botox, lip filler, and Radiesse, which allow me to creatively sculpt and enhance my clients’ features for a youthful, revitalized appearance. I look forward to creating a customized treatment plan for you!

Hello, I’m Mikaela, a Client Coordinator at Camas Med Spa, and I’ll be among one of the first faces you meet when you arrive. What I find most rewarding about my role is the empowering, dedicated and resilient women on our team. The mutual support and understanding between like-minded individuals creates a work environment that is both uplifting and enriching. Alongside my role at the spa, I’m also a part-time, home-based Lash Technician with over three years of experience in enhancing natural beauty. Outside of work, I love experimenting with new recipes, taking leisurely walks with my beloved pet Ava, spending quality time with my high school sweetheart and fiancé Owen, and practicing yoga. I truly believe that how we nurture, care for, and move our bodies plays a key role in shaping our overall well-being.

I started my esthetics journey in 2020 when I graduated from Xenon Academy in Omaha, NE! After graduating, I worked at two spa’s as a receptionist and esthetician to get a feel for the industry before starting my own part-time esthetics business in 2023. In January of 2024, I added to my portfolio and became certified in a Reconstructive Facelift (RFL) Massage technique which is like a deep tissue massage for the face and décolleté that enhances the faces natural beauty. After this training, my fiancé and I decided to move out of the Midwest and head to the PNW in September! We took some time to explore the new area and then in July of 2025, I was so excited to have the opportunity to join CMS as a receptionist! I am so happy to be apart of the team and can’t wait to get to know all of you!
