Injectable fillers can offer beautiful, natural-looking results, but not every experience goes as planned.
Whether you're feeling overfilled, uneven, or just not loving the way your filler settled, you don’t have to live with it. Hyaluronidase, commonly known by the brand name Hylenex, is an enzyme that gently and safely dissolves hyaluronic acid fillers, giving your skin a clean slate. At Camas Med Spa, we use hyaluronidase to support patients who’ve had filler placed elsewhere and want it removed, refined, or corrected. We also use it in-house when adjustments are needed. Whatever your needs, we are here to help you feel comfortable in your skin again, with results that feel right for you.

Hyaluronidase is an injectable enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid, the primary ingredient in many popular dermal fillers such as Juvederm, Restylane, Belotero, and Revanesse.
When used correctly, it can dissolve unwanted or misplaced filler, whether the goal is subtle refinement or complete reversal. At Camas Med Spa, we use Hylenex, a purified and trusted form of hyaluronidase commonly used in both medical and aesthetic settings. While it's most often used to correct filler placed elsewhere, it’s also part of our commitment to safety for managing rare complications like vascular occlusion or product migration when they occur.

Your appointment starts with a consultation and facial assessment. We’ll listen to your concerns, whether it’s about too much volume, asymmetry, or the way your features have changed post-filler.
If you’ve had filler placed at another practice, we’ll also ask about product type, date of injection, and any previous reactions. Once we’re aligned on the plan, a small dose of Hylenex is injected into the area where the filler is to be dissolved. The process is quick, usually less than 30 minutes, and most patients say the injection feels like a small pinch or mild stinging. Results can begin within hours and continue to develop over the next day or two as the enzyme takes effect.
We’ll schedule a follow-up, especially if you’re planning to be re-treated with fresh filler in the future.

At Camas Med Spa, we use hyaluronidase to address a variety of filler-related concerns, including:
You don't need to have received your filler here to be treated. Many of our hyaluronidase patients come to us after visiting other clinics, seeking a gentle, professional correction.

What Are the Benefits of Hyaluronidase?
Hyaluronidase offers peace of mind and control. If your filler results aren’t sitting well with you, visually or emotionally, this treatment gives you options. You don’t have to “wait it out,” especially when filler is interfering with your confidence, balance, or expression. Other benefits include:
Sometimes, the best results come from giving your skin a reset. Hyaluronidase makes that possible.

If you’ve had HA filler and are unhappy with the result, whether due to shape, placement, or feel, you may be a good candidate for hyaluronidase. It’s especially useful for patients who feel overfilled or have filler fatigue, as well as those who’ve experienced complications or uneven healing.
This treatment is safe for most healthy adults but should only be performed by trained professionals. It’s not intended to dissolve non-HA fillers (like Sculptra or Radiesse), and it may not be right for patients with known allergies to bee stings or hyaluronidase itself. We’ll always review your medical history before proceeding.
Recovery from Hylenex injections is typically very easy.
You may experience mild swelling, tenderness, or redness at the injection site, which usually fades within a day or two. In some cases, the area may appear slightly deflated as the filler dissolves and tissue settles. This is expected and temporary.
We’ll guide you through what to expect and help you plan next steps, whether that means allowing your skin to rest or preparing for a more refined filler re-treatment.
You’ll begin to see changes within hours of your appointment, with continued improvement over 24 to 72 hours.
Some areas may resolve more quickly than others, depending on how much filler is present and how your body responds to the enzyme. Many patients feel relief and clarity once the excess filler begins to dissolve. If you're planning to reinject filler after correction, we typically recommend waiting about 1–2 weeks to allow full resolution and assessment of the area.
Your results aren’t just physical. They’re emotional, too. Hyaluronidase gives you the ability to move forward feeling good about your reflection again.
Correcting filler takes more than just a syringe. It takes trust, technique, and an understanding of facial balance.
At Camas Med Spa, we’ve helped many patients safely and compassionately reverse filler placed elsewhere and move toward results that feel more like them.
Whether you're unsure about what was injected, or you just want a second opinion, our team will walk you through your options without judgment or pressure. You’ll get honest advice, a thoughtful plan, and care that respects your comfort every step of the way.
Yes. We often treat patients who’ve had filler placed elsewhere and are seeking correction or reversal. All we need is a consultation to understand the product used and your goals.
Most patients notice changes within 24 hours, though full effects can take up to 72 hours. In some cases, multiple sessions may be needed for full correction.
Yes. It’s commonly used in the lips, nasolabial folds, and midface to correct volume that feels or looks unnatural.
Hyaluronidase can break down most or all of the hyaluronic acid filler in the treated area, depending on dose and technique. We can adjust the amount to preserve some structure if desired.
Yes, but it’s important to wait at least 1–2 weeks to allow full resolution and reduce the risk of swelling or uneven results.
Unfortunately, hyaluronidase only works on hyaluronic acid-based fillers. It won’t dissolve Sculptra, Radiesse, or biostimulant injectables. We can help you assess your options if you're unsure which product was used.
Yes. Hylenex is widely used and considered very safe when administered by an aesthetic nurse injector . We’ll screen for any allergies or health factors that might affect your treatment.
